Your desire for a child

Once all the examinations that can identify any organic causes in both partners for the failure to conceive have been completed, your doctor will sit down with you and discuss the best way for you to fulfil your desire to have a child.

There are a variety of treatment options and the best method depends on your individual findings as a couple. Even if no obvious cause of the unfulfilled desire for a child can be found and the examination results are normal for both partners (this is the case in about 10 % of couples), it may make sense for you to go to a fertility centre for further diagnosis and, if necessary, treatment.
