Integrative TCM therapy
In the case of functional problems where our conventional medical procedures do not lead to the desired success, an improvement in pregnancy rates can be achieved through accompaniment with the proven procedures of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
The integrative fertility treatment with Chinese medicine can be helpful for
- Endometriosis
- Repeated miscarriages
- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Problems with implantation
- Idiopathic infertility (i.e. with unknown cause)
- Male infertility
- Reduced ovarian reserve
Infertility treatment often has an impact on the patients' emotional state: stress and heightened expectations also need to be dealt with. Holistic treatment with TCM therefore includes the emotional situation. Acupuncture has also been shown to lower stress hormones and thus increase the chances of successful embryo implantation.
Integrative TCM therapy acts in accordance with the planned measures in the fertility centre. The aim of the treatment is to promote fertility, improve reproductive outcomes and ultimately deliver a healthy baby.
In about half of the couples, the man is (also) affected and, depending on the diagnosis, can also be included in the TCM treatment.
First, the couple's situation is analysed and an individual treatment concept with Chinese medicines and acupuncture is created. Preparatory treatment over 2-3 cycles is particularly useful for improving the quality of the egg or sperm cells.
Integrative TCM therapy is carried out in cooperation with Nora Giese, MSc, at the Practice for Chinese Medicine.
