Our laboratory team

Claudia Grewenig

Claudia Grewenig, a graduate biologist, heads our andrological and reproductive medicine laboratory. She helped plan and set up our IVF laboratory and established the reproductive medicine methods. Before we were able to bring her onto our team, she worked at the Altonaer Strasse Fertility Centre in Hamburg, first as a deputy, then as a senior reproductive biologist. Before that, she was head of the andrological and reproductive medicine laboratory of the MVZ PAN Institute at the PAN Clinic on the Neumarkt in Cologne for almost ten years. During this time, she also worked for LGA-InterCert and accompanied certification audits within Europe as a technical expert. Before moving to Cologne, she had already worked in Bonn, with Dr G. Prietl at Theaterplatz in Bonn Bad Godesberg. Directly after graduating in biology with a focus on developmental biology in Würzburg in 1992, she learned all the methods commonly used in the IVF laboratory in the IVF laboratory of the practice run by Drs Rumpf, Hobert & Schmitt (today Drs May, Mulfinger & Jakob).

She has almost 30 years of experience in the reproductive medicine laboratory. She has also been recognised by AGRBM as a Human Reproductive Biologist and by ESHRE as a Senior Clinical Embryologist.
She is a board member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Reproduktionsbiologie des Menschen (AGRBM) and holds membership of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Reproduktionsmedizin (DGRM).
